Sustainable Tourism Management For Small Organizations
Out of the 4 main pillars of Sustainable Tourism, Sustainability Management is the very first pillar. Rather, it’s the very first step for any company or organisation looking to amalgamate sustainable practises in its day to day workings. Sustainable Management is the practice of managing a business’s impact on the three bottom lines—people, planet, and…
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, Nobody
Recently, when I was doing my course on sustainable tourism, I was reminded of a short story by one of my instructors. It is a very common but easily forgotten story which I’m sure most of us have come across. Let’s read the story again in the picture below: In its simple and meaningful style,…

About Me

Welcome to Travel Greenie!
Here, I share my little thoughts on sustainable and regenerative tourism, which I feel is most important in today’s day and age. I talk about resetting and restoring tourism with positive impacts so that nature is replenished and our planet thrives. I also share my own sustainable travel stories along with topics on sustainable lifestyle, as both are interconnected. Additionally, I touch upon the concept of vegetarianism and veganism for the conscious and compassionate traveller.
On a personal note, I’m a travel professional with more than 2 decades of experience in the tourism and aviation industry. I’m passionate about travelling and I feel it opens up your mind to the world. Travelling is a wonderful way to learn about new cultures, relive bygone eras and make new friends. To my friends I’m known as an “eco-warrior” as I’m an ardent nature and animal lover and believe in leading a simple sustainable life.
I have recently completed GSTC’s (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) Sustainable Tourism course and attained a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism. Through this blog, I wish to share my learnings on sustainable tourism with everyone.
It’s time to bring consciousness and sustainability as mainstream rather than niche, in the tourism industry. I wish to encourage, inspire or even nudge you to keep sustainable tourism practices in mind before planning your next trip…so together, let’s become a “Travel Greenie!”
